Right now the government is reviewing its policy on Syria, with the potential to save lives on the ground and finally hold war criminals to account. But ten years into the conflict, while the UK is dealing with COVID and Brexit at home, there’s a risk that Syria will fall further down the UK’s priorities. We cannot let this happen.

More than 500,000 Syrians have been killed and nearly half the pre-war population is displaced. Indiscriminate bombing of civilians, forced disappearance and torture, and extreme repression of human rights continue today. Together we must urge the government to stand against war crimes and war criminals.

Together we can make sure the demands of our Syrian partners working for a free and peaceful Syria are there in writing on the minister’s desk.
